I'm relishing Dancing with Destiny by the late Jill Austin. This chapter is simply delicious regarding the price of anointing. Jill gave five ancient keys for lovers based on the story of Mary, mother of Jesus. My heart is for you to get your hands on this book because the information is so deep and relevant. I believe God is sounding the bell that it's time to redeem hearts and dreams, and this book is just amazing.
The keys she shared need to be examined.
Here is a synopsis of the keys:
Touch Heaven Through Worship
Commune with God Through Prayer
Wear Garments of Humility
Let Him Lead the Dance
Let Adversity Press You into Intimacy
This last key might strike you as odd but it is one of the truest things I've ever read. Most of my writings are lessons learned from the pit of the valley and in every single circumstance, I'm better for those tough times. When it comes to intimacy, I'm closer to God because of hard times, rejection, health issues, and the like in a way that I look forward to the dance with Him. If there is a scene of a field and a woman running to God, that woman is me. I wouldn't have it any other way.
When it comes to marriage, I am proof that adversity brings intimacy. Our marriage isn't perfect and those tough times I thought I might shatter and break have through a lot of work, prayer, communication and mututal forgiveness---we are in a very good place and I can see ahead and it is great. It is intimate. But hear me out---that intimacy has come through a lot of blood, sweat and tears.
You have special gifts. You are special to God. Now. Then. Always. Please absorb the truths in this book for a full life with your Heavenly Father. And if the storms of life are rocking your boat, look at it as a perfect storm. With your choosing, that adversity can bring you an intimacy with the Lord that I can't put into words.
But boy, I want every day to give it a try.
