I can't believe I'm at the end of this book. I hope my little thoughts on Jill Austin's Dancing with Destiny spark you to go to God and ask Him what dreams lie in you just waiting to be birthed. The key words I keep hearing in almost every area of my life are about dreams, destiny, transformation, redeem. This book is an excellent way to learn more about these themes, God's heart for those things, and for you! If you click on the book image you can go to the late Jill Austin's website to learn more about the book.
I mentor children and one of the things I love sharing with them is this truth: "You have as much power in you (because of your relationship with Christ) as Christ on Resurrection Day."
That's worth reading again.
I don't know about you but I don't want the free pass to heaven. My acknowledging a personal faith in Christ gives me that security of eternity with Him in heaven, but I want every second I'm on Earth to blaze a trail that leaves straight to Him.
A lot of people feel they aren't of value because they aren't a Billy Graham type. Trust me, you were created with a plan to do amazing things for God. I know I was created to use words of life. I encourage. I write. I speak. I don't just pray in a please help way, I already know God showed up. I don't know His answers, but I know enough I'm going to send you His way. He loves you too much to hide, you seek Him, He's there. Promise.
Jill shared a verse that has a hold on me.
"Acts 5:12-16 says that those early believers brought the sick out into the streets on beds and couches so that perhaps Peter's shadow would fall on them. This disciple carried so much authority, so much of the resurrection power of God, that wherever his shadow fell, people were healed and delivered instantly." Jill Austin's Dancing wth Destiny, page 175.
Jill then asks a question I'm going to leave for us to chew on together.
Is your shadow dangerous?
That's where I'm at. I'm done striving. I just want to hear His voice and be obedient with what He shares. When I go as He's called, I want my shadow to leave a trail and I want that trail to have the power to keep blazing long after my shadow disappears.
How about you? Do you want to exist or live?
I can't wait to hear from you. Please feel free to leave comments, I love them. Go be a dangerous shadow!
I'm going to continue on the dream, destiny theme by sharing thoughts from the book Dreaming with God by Bill Johnson. I'll start next Wednesday. You'll join me, won't you?
