*The content today is sensitive in nature.  Most readers are adults, but just in case, mature themes addressed*

When I started blogging I had an offbeat topic I wanted to tackle but I didn't know how, so I didn't.  I just had a working title.

"How Judge Judy Could Be Put Out of Business"

I had a season of bedrest and watching her show I realized a common theme, people were wounded and 90% of the time, the wounds came from s*x outside of marriage.  Think about it.  Makes sense, doesn't it?

In the church things are changing, not God's wise boundaries, but addressing consequences when we take matters into our own hands.  Barbara Wilson's Kiss Me Again is a breath of fresh air because she just comes out and puts the cards on the table.

Christians are having s*x outside of marriage.  When they do, no matter the circumstances, it leaves baggage that affects marriage.  Even the technical "V" I grew up hearing about is the same heartbreak.

This book (and my heart) isn't about condemnation, but hope.  In this book Barbara (from backcover):

shows how powerful "invisible bonds" from past relationships can cause heartache, disappointment, and distance for couples in the present.  Then--with sensitivity, honesty and hope---Barbara walks you step by step toward healing...and a rekindling of the closeness and passion wtih your husband that you really want.  You don't have to live any longer with confusion, disappointment, resentment or shame.  You can rediscover desire.  You can say Wow! again.

This book is heartfelt, authentic, comprehensive and includes a ten week Bible study.  I can't tell you the wounded people I see every day who are missing oneness in their marriage because of  past choices.  If that's you, get Kiss Me Again. Now.

This book was provided to me for review by Random House/Waterbrook Multnomah.
