NaPoBloMo winding down...I'm wondering how my friends are doing with NaNoWriMo. If you're tackling one of these November challenges, let me know how you are doing. Every time you contact me on my contact page or e mail me at jarduini@faithwriters.net you receive an entry to win one copy of Tricia Goyer and Mike Yorkey's The Swiss Courier. Besides, I just love hearing from you!
I'm thankful today for God's love. That's said so often I know when I read it I gloss over those words sometimes. Yet did you know during the Old Testament times the Hebrews considered Yehweh so holy they would not even write His name. How we trash His name around these days. Makes me appreciate Him all the more.
I've been struggling with my thought life and the near constant challenge to do things my way. I know God has a beter plan but I suppose beyond human nature to rebel, I just get scared and the bottom line is, I don't trust. If I truly did, I wouldn't work as hard to make things work!
Yet through it all I see a husband who is healthy and loves his job so much that even after 5 years, he whistles every morning. He looks forward to work. Wow!
We have two kids doing great in school who are healthy. We have family members where distance doesn't change the love and respect we have for each other. I know the world says being a step mom is supposed to stink and be horrible, but again, I buck the system. I married so much more than my husband, and I'm glad.
I'm thankful that I can be sitting in a church service thinking this message has nothing to do with me but Lord bless the person who needs it, only to find MY feet heading to the altar within minutes. I pray not only that you have a personal relationship with God through His Son, but that it's a true relationship. Not a wooden one but a loving one where you get to laugh, learn, grow and just chat.
Those moments make me feel like a beautiful princess and yet a VIP member at a comedy concert, sometimes where I'm the opening act---and yet His love is never cruel or mocking. Thankful just isn't enough. I'm flat out excited.
I hope you are too in your life. If anything I'm writing sounds crazy, let me know through my contact page or e mail me at jarduini@faithwriters.net (Nope, comment STILL not working). I was one of the hardest hearts and heads you could know. His love rocks!
And so do you. Thanks for reading.
