If you've called on the name of Jesus and call Him Friend,

Christmas Eve is...

What is it to you?  Share your comments.

For me, I get all giddy and emotional, trying to imagine the scene.

I cry during services.  The majesty and warmth of it all.

Not just the pageantry that is our gift to Him...

But at the overwhelming thought

He is a gift for us!

Re: Christmas Eve is...

Christmas Eve to me is humbling. I wouldn't really say that I get emotional -although some Christmas songs make me cry - but I am humbled by that fact that I have so much and Christ came into this world with nothing. He didn't even have a blanket, just some rags. I am also reminded of the room - or lack of room - I have in my heart. Yeah I am a Christian, but have I given every last tiny part of my heart to him? Am I like the innkeeper who had no room at the inn but reccommended a stable? Or am I like the shepherds who dropped everything so they could worship?
You are right. The thought of Christ's birth is overwhelming. Thank You Jesus for your loving sacrifice!
Merry Christmas Juile!
